Welcome to the Ovid Inn—an intimate, vintage retreat center nestled on Main Street in the heart of Michigan. Once a horse tack factory in the late 1800s in a rural town, it’s now a soulful gathering place for groups seeking connection, celebration, and a little small-town magic.

We had a bridal shower for our daughter and planned a murder myster with the weddding party afterwards. The banquet room had so much classic character and our Italian market theme worked so well. The guys hung out in the spacious game room upstairs while all of the ladies had the shower. They had a great working kitchen and had coffee ready for us when we arrived! The manager helped us at check in and all of our rooms were very comfortable!. Breakfast was delivered form the cafe next door and our group got to hang out casually in the banquet room for breakfast. This place is so cool and a fun spot to host a party and hang out together!

What a unique and fun place to stay!! We were a large group in town for a family wedding. Jennifer was easy to reach and super helpful. The Inn was clean, unique, and well organized. We enjoyed the game room area very much and the banquet room made it easy for us to enjoy meals and snacks together. Although we didn't get to spend much free time to get to know the surrounding area very well, we have already decided we'd like to go back just for fun sometime. Highly recommend for a larger group getaway!

We had a fabulous weekend. We celebrated my son’s graduation from MSU. All the kids had a ball playing ping pong, basketball, pool….. great set up for big families. The banquet area was perfect for meals and we all had our own beds. Highly recommend. And the bonus was a fun breakfast diner next door! Everyone was so friendly!

Wow! Jennifer was an amazing help, planning this event. From finding a caterer, to setting up our tables for our banquet. This was the perfect location for our event and everyone had an amazing time!! Tip for those who hit the hay early while theres still a party going on upstairs, you can find the rooms not directly under the dance floor and it will be quieter. Really was an unforgettable evening and we can’t wait to come back next year, if not sooner!

I hosted a milestone birthday party at the Ovid Inn and it was the perfect venue. We had 60 people and had plenty of room for more between the downstairs quiet areas for private conversations, large downstairs banquet room and the upstairs game room. There was space there no matter the age. The game room provided a nice getaway for adults and children to play and relax. With two ping pong tables, a pool table and dance floor upstairs, everyone was enjoying themselves! The views from the 2nd story game room were very nice and the additional seating made for a great escape. Downstairs had a nice full kitchen to prep food and get everything ready for the guests. I can not say enough about how well Jennifer and team from the Ovid Inn had been. From offering suggestions to taking in requests and doing everything possible to make the event magical, the Ovid Inn did not disappoint! If you are looking for a great event space to host with family and friends or even a great business event, look no further. I would recommend over and over again. My guests were even commenting how much they loved the space. Thank you again to the Ovid Inn!!! Amazing!

Oh my gosh… I had no idea this adorable quaint fairy tale back in time Inn was right in our area! We rented it for a family Christmas party and it accommodated folks from 5 months old to 80!!!! There is something for everyone to enjoy about this venue! As soon as we heard, they were open we booked our Christmas family party there. (So did not rent lodging) You would want to know that the owners are very good/kind people, great to work with! We had a group of 27 people, and we had more than enough space. I loved that anytime I stopped and looked around, I saw people laughing, interacting, and playing many activities together. Some of my family’s favorites were the basketball hoop and the pool table. At one point I was down in the banquet room, relaxing, visiting, and eating with family… Then I got up and went upstairs to the game room, and it was buzzing with awesome music and the big speaker, family, laughing, and playing. Perfect family get together!
